COVID-19 Procedure Update

To help prevent the spread of COVID-19 and due to increasing concerns for staff safety, we have updated our policies and procedures.

As of 12pm, March 20, 2020, we no longer allow pet owners into our hospital.

We know that this creates an additional inconvenience in an already stressful situation, but we are taking these measures to protect you as well as our staff, which will allow us to continue to provide veterinary services for our community.

We have posted signage outside our hospitals instructing pet owners to remain in their vehicle and to call the number posted on the sign for instruction. Our staff will then provide instruction to the pet owner. If a pet is in a life threatening situation, please call the number posted outside and our staff, wearing full personal protective equipment (PPE), will retrieve the pet from the vehicle, if they cannot walk, and place them on a gurney for transfer inside the hospital for treatment. In all cases, the pet owner will be asked to return to their vehicle and await further communication/instruction.

We very much appreciate the community’s assistance in helping to keep our team safe.

We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation and will follow guidance from public health officials and government agencies, so we can continue to support our pet parents, colleagues and communities as needed.
