What to Expect From Animal Eye Care At Your Appointment
Our board-certified doctors are experts in veterinary ophthalmology. We’re proud to provide the highest level of care, compassion, and education for pets and their owners.
Here is what you can expect from your visit at Animal Eye Care:
New Pet Appointment:
A new pet appointment includes a complete front to back exam of each eye and up to three diagnostic tests. The tests include a tear test (Schirmer Tear Test), intraocular pressure check and a fluorescein stain to the surface of the eye to rule out corneal abrasions or other corneal disease. We will also send you home with a full report that includes the results of the diagnostic tests, the diagnosis of each eye, medication and treatment information. We will send this report to your primary care veterinarian at the end of the exam so they are aware of your pet’s diagnosis and treatment plan. The initial exam fee is $365 which includes the diagnostic tests referenced above. Animal Eye Care requires a pre-paid deposit of $95 for the initial exam at the time of scheduling. The balance will be due, in full, at the time of discharge. If for any reason you are unable to keep an appointment, we do require a 24 hour cancellation notice to avoid being charged a fee of$65 for the missed service or $365 missed new appointment exam fee.
Recheck Appointment:
A recheck appointment includes a thorough examination of each eye along with the same three diagnostic tests listed above. It is important to thoroughly examine each eye and perform all tests each time your pet visits so that we can gather as much information to help your pet and be able to see any trends in those results. Recheck exams start at $220 if your pet has been seen within 4 months of their last visit. We do not require prepayment to book a recheck exam.
Payment:
For your convenience, you can easily pay your bill online. A client service representative will email or text you a secure link with instructions on how to pay your bill. We accept all major credit cards, CareCredit, cash, and checks.
